Cornell's Unique Graduate Program in Communication

Our faculty and graduate students are doing research in diverse areas, such as environmental and science communication, media effects and studies, and new communication technologies. The Cornell University graduate program in Communication is designed to assist Ph.D. and M.S students in proposing, testing, and refining communication theories; in practicing skilled research; and in becoming knowledgeable about communication

Students in the program have a great deal of flexibility to design a program that fits their needs; Doctoral curricula at Cornell University are determined individually by each student's special committee. Drawing from the resources of outstanding scholars in the social sciences, natural sciences and humanities at Cornell University, our students are finding new ways to investigate how communication shapes and is shaped by our society.
